✿ He Had Such Quiet Eyes ✿

He had such quiet eyes
She did not realise
They were two pools of lies
Layered with thinnest ice
To her,those quiet eyes
Were breathing desolate sighs
Imploring her to be nice
And to render him paradise

If only she'd been wise
And had listened to the advice
Never to compromise
With pleasure-seeking guys
She'd be free from "the hows and whys"

Now here's a bit of advice
Be sure that nice really means nice
Then you'll never be losing at dice
Though you may lose your heart once or twice

FASTING IN RAMADHAN

Fasting is another unique moral and spiritual characteristic of Islam. Literally defined, fasting means to abstain "completely" from foods, drinks, intimate intercourse and smoking, before the break of the dawn till sunset, during the entire month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic year. Fasting Ramadan is compulsory upon every Muslim.

This is because,Fasting will:

-rest the digestive system

-allow for cleansing and detoxification of the body

-create a break in eating patterns, while shining a spotlight on them

-promote greater mental clarity

-cleanse and heal "stuck" emotional patterns

-lead to a feeling of physical lightness, increasing energy level

-promote an inner stillness, enhancing spiritual connection

I LOVE MALAYSIA!!

MERDEKA DAY is just around the corner.. Although this year's celebration might not as exciting and joyful as last year (it's due the the Eid celebration, where citizen might pay more attention to the raya-ing matters and the house-to-house visiting things), it doesn’t mean that we ignore the MERDEKA day.. From my point of view, I don't see a strong spirit to celebrate it among Malaysians (again.. it might due the spirits all went to the preparation of Raya celebration and some are concentrating more on oyher matters for e.g form 5 students are concentrating on their SPM trial examination). If you notice, there are lack of people who fly the Jalur Gemilangs. And also this year it is hard to find people try to get their names into the books of records by making the largest, longest, broadest, heaviest, highest, and all the other 'est'. Where is that spirit now?

As a citizen, we should celebrate the Merdeka day no matter what other important events happened at the same date, week or month of Merdeka Day.. I’m not interested to list about the importance of celebrating the Merdeka day here because as a responsible and rationale citizen, we should've known those. All of us should celebrate it. Students are included. Here are some of the suggestions how students should celebrate the Merdeka Day ;

1) Ask your parents and family members to put flags at their cars/motorcycles

2) Put flags outside your house (fence, tree, gate, pole etc)

3) Put many flags in your classroom

4) Watch patriotic movies (Bukit Kepong, Hati Malaya, Chinta etc)

5) Read books/ novels/ artworks on patriotism

6) Play patriotic songs (request for it on the radio)

Hopefully by doing these, it can deeper your patriotic spirit and generating your love for Malaysia. Let us make our Merdeka to be one that will bring glory back to our glorious nation! Let us move towards racial integration, tolerance and harmony. Let us think as ONE, not many in diversity! Let every potential develop in this nation so that we can challenge all the other growing tigers, dragons, lions, what have you of Asia! Let us put nation before self!
